New World Grid is one year old !

One year ago, we were installing our first server with the 16 actual mainland regions.

And New World Grid was born.

Since then, we didn’t stop spending time and energy for this project that evolved in an unexpected way. Below is the user statistics chart for 2008.

The year of 2008 has been rewarding with OpenSim Made Easy development, OpenSim Launcher et OSURLs, and 2009 promises several partnerships to come, and the creation of a non profit organization to officially support the project. Several projects will start, particularly related to the web and opensim. I won’t say more for now as nothing have been made official, but I will share those informations as soon as available.

We wish to show all our recognition to our residents thanks to whom this project would not exist, and this is in their honor we organized a celebration this sunday 15th of february at 9.15 PM (UTC+1 / French time) on the Sunshine region.
