OpenSim Made Easy v0.5 Alpha

We are proud to annouce OpenSim Made Easy v0.5 Alpha !

The reason why it took time to release this new version is that we focused on an eventual flow of residents in the next weeks / months, so, amongst many other projects, we first made a new subscription platform where it is possible to choose your avatar look and sex for your first login ! OpenSim Made Easy has been rewritten in C#. It has not the UPnP technology to configure routers automatically yet. But it will come with time. We have also removed all that is a bother for the users. You just have to reserve your regions on our world map (created by Sbach Xue), then you launch OpenSim Made Easy, you authenticate yourself, and you push the “Start” button. It’s as simple as that. It configures your windows firewall as well automatically. You will have to forward your router ports first of course… Documentation and demo videos to come !!! In the mean time, join us on the chat ot the forums to test !

Also, I would like to thanks officially all our volunteers that helped saving us time to focus on technical aspects and development projects ! Thank you !

This release of OpenSim Made Easy is for tests only and is available for download here. A final version will be available soon !
